                        POLICE PRESS RELEASE

Armed robbery suspect arrested

On Wednesday, April 24th at approximately 04.00 a.m., a male suspect identified with initials with initials F.J.C. was arrested by police in connection with the ongoing armed robbery investigation at Texaco Gas Station on Welfare road. This armed robbery took place on Sunday April 21st at approximately 02.30 a.m. The arrest took place without incident and the investigation continues.

Ill-treatment with a weapon

A female suspect identified with initials S.A.L. was arrested on Tuesday April 23rd suspected of seriously ill-treating another female with a metal staff and causing severe injury to one of her eyes. The incident took place during an argument which turned into a fight. The suspect was taken to the police head quarters for questioning and remains in custody for further investigation.
