Parasasa Hotel Curaçao ta un hotèl di práktika (leerhotel) ku ta konsistí di 37 kamber di dos persona i 8 suites. Despues di un renobashon profundo di e edifisio, e hotèl di práktika a habri su portanan i pronto ta kuminsá risibí bishitantenan internashonal i lokal. Den e hotèl di práktika, studiantenan di Nilda Pinto SBO, Maris Stella SBO i Universidat di Kòrsou Dr. Moises Da Costa Gomez (UoC) ta haña e oportunidat pa siña i ehersé diferente funshon ku tin den un hotèl bou di guia di dosentenan i profeshonalnan ku eksperensia riba e área di hospitalidat. E hotèl di práktika ta un inisiativa di e fundashon Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Training Centre (CHTTC) kual ta un kolaborashon entre ROC Mondriaan di Den Haag, Ofisina di Turismo di Kòrsou (CTB) i Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA). Durante di e soft opening a hiba palabra Minister di Desaroyo Ekonómiko, sr. Charles Cooper, Presidente di hunta ehekutivo di ROC Mondriaan, sr. Hans Schutte, Direktor di CTB, sr. Muryad de Bruin i Direktor Sektor di Enseñansa i Siensia na Ministerio di Enseñansa, sr. Wladimir Kleinmoedig.

 

Apertura di Parasasa Hotel Curaçao ta duna un kontribushon na desaroyo di e estudio di Hospitalidat riba nivel MBO i tambe HBO. E hotèl di práktika ta brinda e oportunidat ideal pa e studiante haña eksperensia den e trabou dor di duna servisio na turistanan real den un ambiente di práktika. Di e manera aki e studiante ta haña e oportunidat pa sigui desaroyá su abilidatnan. Ademas e kolaborashon estrecho entre ROC Mondriaan i skolnan na Kòrsou ta reforsá e enseñansa ku ta keda brindá na studiantenan. Studiantenan di SBO ta haña e oportunidat pa ehersé tareanan real den e hotèl bou di instrukshon i guia di dosentenan. Studiantenan ku ta sigui e estudio di Turismo tin e oportunidat pa siña tambe pafó di e hotèl di práktika den e industria di turismo. E estudionan ta kumpli ku e petishon aktual di e industria di hospitalidat i turismo dor ku ta hasi uso di konosementu i eksperensia for di e industria mes. Danki na e ambiente úniko di siña ku ta keda brindá den e hotèl di práktika, studiantenan di Kòrsou awor por sigui un training di balor haltu lokalmente, ku perspektiva pa nan karera di futuro. Studiantenan ku terminá SBO por skohe pa sigui pa nan estudio na UoC òf bai traha i start ku nan karera profeshonal den e industria di hospitalidat i turismo. Adishonalmente, Parasasa Hotel Curaçao ta risibí tambe studiantenan for di region Karibe i Hulanda ku ta skohe pa bin Kòrsou i haña eksperensia real den e hotèl di práktika.

Soft Opening of Parasasa Hotel Curaçao

A training center for Hospitality Students

 

WILLEMSTAD – May 5, 2025 – On May 5th, the soft opening of Parasasa Hotel Curaçao took place. Parasasa Hotel Curaçao is a training center consisting of 37 double rooms and 8 suites. After a thorough renovation of the building, the training center has opened its doors and will soon welcome both international and local guests. At the training center, students from Nilda Pinto SBO, Maris Stella SBO, and the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises Da Costa Gomez (UoC) can learn and perform various functions found in a hotel, under the guidance of teachers and industry professionals with experience in the hospitality field. The training center is an initiative of the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Training Centre (CHTTC), a collaboration between ROC Mondriaan in The Hague, the Curaçao Tourist Board, and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA). During the soft opening, speeches were delivered by Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Charles Cooper, ROC Mondriaan Chairman Executive Board, Mr. Hans Schutte, CTB Managing Director, Mr. Muryad de Bruin, and Sector Director Education & Science at the Ministry of Education, Mr. Wladimir Kleinmoedig.

 

The opening of the training center, Parasasa Hotel Curaçao contributes to the development of hospitality education at both MBO and HBO levels. The training center offers an ideal opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience by serving real tourists in a practical environment. This allows students to further develop their skills. Furthermore, the close collaboration between ROC Mondriaan and schools in Curaçao strengthens the education provided to students. SBO students have the chance to carry out real-world tasks under the supervision and guidance of their teachers. Tourism students also gain experience beyond the training center, within the broader tourism industry. The training programs align with the current needs of the hospitality and tourism industry by leveraging knowledge and expertise from within the industry. Thanks to this unique learning environment, Curaçaoan students can now pursue valuable education locally, with promising career opportunities ahead. Students who complete their SBO education can choose to continue their studies at UoC or begin their professional careers in the hospitality and tourism industry. Additionally, Parasasa Hotel Curaçao also accommodates students from the Caribbean region and the Netherlands, who can come to Curaçao to gain real-world practical experience in the training center.

 

During the ceremony, attendees had the exclusive opportunity to tour the training center, Parasasa Hotel Curaçao, and admire the double rooms, suites and facilities firsthand.
